Scientific collections

The Swedish Museum of Natural History houses scientifically important biological and geological collections. Comprising millions of specimens make it one of the larger natural history collections in the world.

The collections form the basis for the research that is being conducted at the different research departments. Moreover, they are continuously being used, through loans and visits, by researchers from throughout the world.
