Bird Ringing
The Bird Ringing Center issues permits for bird ringing, provides services to ringers and researchers, and processes reports on recovered bird rings and wild birds that are ringed, except for carrier pigeons.
The department conducts research on bird migration patterns and participates in basic and research education in bird migration patterns.
Palynology – Pollen Monitoring
Within the department, the museum's Palynological Laboratory is located, which performs pollen analysis, produces pollen forecasts, and is responsible for coordinating pollen activities nationally.
