Research in isotope geology

Research interests

My research is focused on some of the earliest rock forming events in our solar system. I have been fortunate enough to work on samples of primitive meteorites and Martian meteorites; however my current research is directed towards some of the oldest remnants of the early Earth - zircon. Typically, I use the NordSIM facility to analyse isotopic or elemental abundances within these samples in order to constrain crustal formation and evolution through time. Additionally, I am investigating the reliability of information extracted from these ancient detrital zircon populations using a tonalitic analogue from West Greenland.
