Eight seasons

Come to the northernmost part of Sweden and follow the reindeer keepers daily life during a year
The photographer Torbjörn Jakobsson from the newspaper Västerbottens-Kuriren in Umeå has follow a young reindeer keeping family in the Mountains of Tärna in the northern parts of Sweden.

Through the slaughter in the autumn, the migrant in winter time and the labelling of reindeer calves in the summer. The exhibition gives us a picture of a culture that many people lack knowledge about.

The exhibition Eight seasons with Torbjörn Jakobssons 20 photographs at the SwedishMuseum of Natural History will be open 15 June-15 September.

Eight seasons are produced by the MuseumofVästerbotten in cooperation with the photographer and Västerbottens-Kuriren.
