Cosmonova

At Cosmonova you can enjoy a stunning and immersive adventure. Here at Sweden's only IMAX® theatre we show films in the world's largest format on our 760 square meter dome-shaped screen. Our digital 3D films will draw you deeper into the adventure than perhaps you would prefer and in our digital planetarium shows we will take you to outer space. Come and visit places you can only visit in your imagination from right in the midst of the adventure!

Sea Rex 3D: Journey to a prehistoric world

Experience a wondrous adventure from the dinosaur age in 3D. Join Julie, an imaginative young woman, and explore an underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures which were ruling the seas before dinosaurs conquered the earth. See science come alive in an entertaining manner and get ready for a face-to-face encounter with the T-Rex of the seas!

English narration


Receivers (limited quantity) for English translations can be borrowed at the theatre's entrance upon admission. Please let us know if you wish to do so. It can be used with your own stereo earphones (3.5mm plug), or you can purchase a pair here at the box office for 15 SEK.

How to get here


Cosmonova is situated at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, only ten minutes from Stockholm city. There are several ways to get here: by underground, bus or car.

Accessibility


Cosmonova is adapted for the disabled. There are listening loops and three places especially adapted for visitors with wheelchairs. These must be booked in advance by telephone.
