Several Museum research units maintain a library of books, printed matter and scientific journals. The Entomology, Invertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Zoology, Paleozoology, Paleobotany, Phanerogamic Botany and Cryptogamic Botany departents all keep their own libraries as does the Palynological Laboratory that is part of Phanerogamic Botany. Mineralogy and the Isotope Geology Laboratory also have a joint library. These research libraries have almost all been catalogued in the Museum Library Database.
