Area of research


Morphology, systermatics, and phylogeny of the clitellates (Annelida) especially the following topics:
  • Development (morphogenesis) of the male and female ducts in representatives of the different subfamilies within Tubificidae.
  • Development of the genital ducts in some species of Phreodrilidae (with Adrian Pinder).
  • Comparative studies of the fine morphology of the cuticle and epidermis in clitellates.
  • Ultrastrucural studies of the male genital ducts in tubificids and naidids.
