International Symposium on Flatworm Biology
The organisers cordially invite you to attend the 12th International Symposium on Flatworm Biology (ISFB 2012), which will be held at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, Stockholm Sweden 11-16 June 2012.
The venue
The Swedish Museum of Natural History (Naturhistoriska riksmuseet) is situated just north of Stockholm city, next to the campus of Stockholm University and the Bergius botanical garden. Just outside the museum doors is the 27 square kilometre Royal National City Park, a mix of woodland, parks and beaches home to more than 800 species of flowering plants and 100 species of breeding birds.
The biological collections of Naturhistoriska riksmuseet date back to the seventeenth century. They include 9.5 milllion labelled objects with about 8000 invertebrate types, among them many flatworms and acoels. The department of invertebrate zoology has a long tradition of research on flatworms and acoels.
