Entomology LoansLoans are issued to scientific institutions only, and the institution is responsible for the loan.
- Loans are made for 12 months, except type material, for which the time is 6 months. Extension can usually be negotiated.
- Specimens are to be returned, properly packed, in the condition they were received.
- Standard dissections of non-type material is permitted, any other kind of preparation, whatsoever, requires permit. Prepared, sectioned or coated specimens are still part of the loan, and are to be returned.
- All specimens are being sent by registered mail.
- A reprint is required in case results based on the loan are published.
Loan policy for scientific purposes
For loan requests please contact the appropriate curator listed below,they will help you with listed taxa and with groups not yet listed, unfortunately we are not able to execute loans from either the Arachnida or Myriapoda collection.
